We were introduced to the wonderful world of food allergies through our children when our now 18yr old son was a toddler. He was allergic to eggs, melon, kiwi, peanuts, and tree nuts. His reactions were relatively mild and he outgrew most of his food allergies. Today his only food allergy is kiwi. Our twins, however made us full fledged food allergy warriors. Their allergies were more severe and more numerous. Feeding our boys was a tremendous challenge fraught with frustration, fear, and experimentation. Today they are not just coping, they're thriving!
To help people realize that food allergies are manageable. While strict avoidance of allergens is a must, there are many delicious alternatives. With some research, planning, and patience, your food options aren't as confining.Taste the freedom of safe alternatives!
